My Letter to Santa
Dear Santa,
I never much believed in you, but I’d like to think that there are ways to make dreams come true. This year, I have tried to be good – but I am sure I wasn’t as much as I should. That being the case, I’m sending you my Christmas list in hopes that you won’t dismiss what has been placed upon my heart.
Oh my gosh, where do I start?
Please bring an end to silly winless wars that are more against doctrine than threat. Please provide warmth and shelter for those without homes. Please offer financial support to those who are without jobs. Please bring a way to offer encouragement to those who are without hope. Please allow Christ back into our schools, workplaces and the world for that matter. Bring us a way to realize the “war on drugs” is a waste of money. Speaking of which, if you have a solution to rid the world of political correctness, I’d love to see that under my tree. And, please please please help us to remember those who have given their lives for our freedoms.
I know I’ve provided you with a pretty extensive list, Santa. But I know you can fulfill each and every wish. Now, finally, I have one request that’s for me. Please end the BCS system so sports talk will have to find a new default topic when they are out of interesting material to talk about.
Yeah, your’re right – That’ll never happen!
Merry Christmas Santa. I’ll have cookies and milk waiting for you (if I can keep my kid away from them).

nice letter, very well said.
Thanks Brat.
That sounds more like a prayer– as it should be. God is real.. Santa has no power
Kudos to your thoughts.
That’s kind of what I was going for Jenn. Too often, people look in the wrong places for the answers and often seek answers to the wrong problems.
Originally, I was going to turn this letter to a poem under the guise of a letter – but didn’t put forth the effort. Maybe that message would have been better done as such.
BTW: Thanks for the comments.
I didn’t know you were a Libertarian too, Chad.
Hi!
Yep. Heck, I even managed lpin.org for a couple years.
